Great Response and Feedback

I wanted to extend a big thanks to all of you for so much patience and effort that I am seeing. I was really surprised that so many people were looking for an extension like this and the best part is that everyone is helpful enough to patiently test it even though it is in early beta right now.
A big thanks to Mike who did a new Cingular Logo for me. The one I have currenly in there has a white background and apprears kind of stretched out image. He has mailed me a new one in which the background is grey and kind of mixes with the FF statusbar color. I will include it as part of my next release which should sometime tomorrow (Tue) night.  I am also thinking of kind of following a release schedule like every Tue evening and maybe Fri evening. Then gather all the feedback and do the fixes and then release a new version until we come out of beta. I think I am going to need 2 releases a week because as you all know I am a Cingular Blue customer so I will have to rely on everyone else on the testing.

New version done

So here is the new version 0.1a(beta) of the extension. The changes in this version are:

1. Rewrite of the hashing part of the code to support multiple billing websites.
2. Generalization of the parsing routines to support multiple websites.
3. Changes in options tab to support multiple website.
4. The abiltiy to pick what you want to display on the statusbar, the peak minutes and/or the nights and weekend minutes and/or the mobile to mobile minutes.
5. Rewrite to a big portion of the code to support multiple websites easily.

Cingular Options (New Look)

So I have started working on some of the changes to support a wider audience. Please give me your feedback as what changes would you like to see. The place where it shows ATTWS is a dropdown menu with options for ATTWS and Cingular-Orange customers.

I have put the Firefox extension for Cingular (Old ATTWS) beta version here. Download it and give it a try and leave me a email or comment with the problems you see and I will try to fix it. You can also send me your screenshots I can use them when I submit to official firefox extension server.

Free Online Storage

Looking for a place to upload my firefox extension so that it can be downloaded I came across this list of free online storage. Maybe I can use one of these for time being till I find a permanent place for my blog.

Cingular Extension – Beta Testers Needed

I am done with the first version of the extension and need some beta testers for it. If you are interested leave me your email id and I can send you and updated version. I want to get some more coverage before I release it to the world. Keep in mind, this extension is geared towards ATTWS (now Cingular) customers and accounts. I can extend it to current cingular customers but I think that would be a part of the next release.

Cingular Extension Update

Just an update to the Cingular Extension I am working on. I have it working to a point where it is picking up the N&W minutes correctly but It does not pick up the peak and m2m minutes. I will probably work on it tonite to see if I can have the first version ready for release.

I was surprised to see how little information is there on writing extensions. There are lots of people who write them but till date I did not find one good one to help you through the basic problems.
